Battery Life and Usage
Using the Mag switch to tap on and off for each flight, the Micro might translate into one or two months of normal use per battery change, while always maintaining a safety margin of three days to look for a lost bird. You can leave your battery in the Micro for up to six months. The transmitter keeps track of cumulative transmission time to estimate remaining battery life, even when not transmitting.
Resetting the Battery Memory
If you are getting an early double beep warning, it is possible that the memory inside the transmitter was not reset when the battery was last changed. To reset the memory, either turn the transmitter on with the magnet before changing the battery or short the contacts every time a battery is changed.

Leg Mount
Leather bewit around the tarsus (ankle) — the oldest & most widely used method.

Tail Mount
Spring clip attached to a Tail Piece on a deck feather — mounting method of choice in Gulf countries.

TrackPack
Teflon harness in figure-8 pattern around body — transmitter mounts on back between shoulders.
Adding an engraving to your transmitter will void the 30 day return policy as the engraving will be put on the transmitter itself.
Add Engraving
$10.00
Engrave a mix of up to 25 alpha-numeric characters.
At room temperature, the Micro will transmit continuously for 30 hours of normal use before giving a double beep warning every tenth pulse. After that, the battery runs about 70 more hours for a total time of about 100 hours.
Yes, the Micro can be used as a tail mount for larger birds, even though it is designed for use on the very smallest of birds.

With a new battery, the Micro will operate down to extreme cold temperatures (-40F). However, battery run time is reduced at these temperatures, so a new battery every day is recommended when flying in extreme cold.
Yes, for American customers with a HAM License, the transmitter can be programmed with your Call Sign, which will be broadcast in Morse Code at startup and once every ten minutes as required by law.
